Exploratory Graph Analysis in context

The current paper presents the network psychometric framework for dimensionality and item analysis termed exploratory graph (EGA). It starts by briefly contextualizing field of psychometrics early work from 50’s 60’s. Then it provides a brief overview other recent developments, such as loadings (a metric akin to factor loadings), total entropy fit index (verification fit), dynamic EGA, bootstrap EGA stability, random intercepts (handling wording effects), hierarchical estimate high-order structures (e.g., generalized bifactor models). goal is present reader with list contextualized references.
